The Secretary for Education Kevin Yeung announced on February 13 that all schools would further defer class resumption and will not resume classes before March 16. The submission of the 3 rd Internal Examination result for the purpose of Secondary School Places Allocation (SSPA) will also be cancelled.
The EDB appeals to students to stay at home and avoid leaving Hong Kong. There is no urgency for students staying in the Mainland to return to Hong Kong. It further recaps that class suspension does not mean an additional holiday.
Our school teachers will prepare teaching and learning materials and arrange homework on daily basis (Monday to Friday), and will deliver them through Intranet (E-class). Children should finish the homework under the supervision of parents. Parents may contact the school and seek assistance from class teacher or subject teachers if they have any difficulties concerning e-learning and homework.
Students should maintain a good daily routine, stay healthy and do some physical exercises, as well as continue learning and read extensively, in order to achieve ‘suspending classes without suspending learning’.
